Maine and Quebec sign deal to develop e-car charging network

The state of Maine and Quebec announced a partnership deal on Wednesday to develop and spread out charging stations for electric vehicles between the state and the province.

Maine and Quebec will assign their agencies with the task of studying how to develop an e-vehicle corridor between Portland and Quebec with a public-private partnership (PPP). They are expected to introduce an initial plan sometime in summer this year.

Tesla Motors has started sending invites to media and automobile experts for showcasing of Model 3, its latest car aimed at customers looking for a cheaper version of Tesla’s electric sedans. Tesla Model 3 will be unveiled on March 31 by Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk. Tesla has not revealed all about the event and the venue yet. Tesla Model 3 would cost $35,000 before incentives, according to the company.

Ferrari NV’s subsidiary Ferrari North America Inc has issued a notice to recall its 2016 California T convertible vehicles, which might be at risk of fuel leakage in the engine compartment. The convertibles were produced by Ferrari between September 8 and November 11 2015. The vehicles might have an issue of connectivity of the low-pressure fuel line.

Hyundai has recently released new teaser images of its first ever fully-electric plug-in car called the Ioniq. The new car is scheduled to be launched at the Geneva Motor Show this March.

The teasers show that the car will be focused on aesthetics as much as emissions and it has even confirmed that it has a license for testing its autonomous driving technology on roads of the United States.

Adopting strong coupe lines more of a sedan form, the Ionic will be a combination of good looks with class-leading aerodynamics performance, said its makers.
