Ford will invest $2.5 billion in Mexico, creating 3,800 jobs.

On Friday, Ford Motor Co announced that it will spend $2.5 billion to build a new generation of fuel-efficient engines and transmissions in Mexico, and the new manufacturing facility will create 3,800 jobs.

In response, the United Auto Workers union has said that putting jobs in Mexico rather than the United States will come up as a major issue at its upcoming US labor talks with Ford, General Motors Co and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Ride-hailing firm Uber has revealed in a recent announcement that it is launching a print magazine – called ‘Momentum’ – for its nearly 150,000 drivers.

The Momentum magazine will be a quarterly publication from Uber. It is being launched in six US markets --- New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Ohio, and Oklahoma.

According to the WSJ and FT articles, Apple has been on a recruitment spree of late; secretly hiring experts in the automotive industry to work on an undisclosed car project, on which the company is working at a “top-secret” research lab.
