Augusta organizing numerous festivities in honor of St. Patrick’s Day
A number of events and festivities have been planned around the CSRA and parking in downtown Augusta in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.
The celebration at Augusta Commons started at 4 p.m. on March 17, while Columbia County will kick off its YuchiKiokee Festival today at the Evans Towne Center Park. In Aiken, Stables restaurant at Rose Hill is also celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, starting at 5 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m. featuring an Irish food, music and beer.
Today afternoon, a parade will commence from James Brown arena Seventh Street, move north on Seventh Street, west on Broad Street, south on 11th Street, east on Telfair Street, south on Seventh Street before coming to an end at James brown arena.
Characterized by music, art, delicious food, the festivities are for everybody spanning all age groups.
However, a couple of bars in Augusta have planned specials for adults on St Patrick’s Day. Downtown Augusta is offering drink specials including, Metro with drink specials for $2 and 1102 featuring green beer and $3-5 drink specials.
The festivities being organized in honor of St. Patrick’s Day started on March 17 and will run through March 19, 2016.
