Portland massage therapist indicted for sexually abusing six more clients
A Portland massage therapist arrested earlier this month for sexually abusing a client has been indicted for sexually abusing half a dozen more women, officials confirmed.
Multnomah County deputy district attorney Jeffrey Auxier said Benjamin Collura is now charged with 1 count of second-degree sexual abuse, 8 counts of third-degree sexual abuse and 3 counts of third-degree sexual abuse.
According to the indictment, Collura sexually abused his female clients during November 2012 and late February this year. He is accused of touching his clients’ breasts and genitals as well as compelling them to touch his genitals.
Last week, the man pleaded not guilty to an earlier indictment charging him with two counts of sexually abusing a client at the River’s Edge Hotel & Spa at 455 S.W. Hamilton Ct. on February 20, 2016.
The victim reported the alleged sexual assault to Portland police. She was treated at a hospital for a cervical abrasion. She also filed a lawsuit against the company that manages the hotel.
Since Collura’s arrest on March 9, the allegations of sexual abuse against him are on the rise because more women are coming forward. The latest allegations stem from his work as a massage therapist at River’s Edge and his previous employer, Massage Envy.
