Jason Day says he lost 11 pounds over the course of Match Play
Since winning the WGC-Dell Match Play, Australian professional golfer Jason Day has been spending time practicing and trying to regain the weight he lost during the World Golf Championship.
The world's No. 1 champion said he lost around a dozen pounds over the course of the Match Play. Otherwise, he is feeling fine and trying to tighten up a few things.
Speaking on the topic, the Australian golfer said, "I lost 11 pounds over the course of the Match Play. But other than that I feel fine and worked hard during the break … practice rounds take so long. Right now I'm just trying to tighten up a few things, my chipping and driving."
Day's preparations for the Masters Tournament were running a day behind schedule as of Sunday as his illness curse struck again.
After being struck by flu-like symptoms, he delayed his arrival at Augusta National by a day. He was originally due to arrive at Augusta National on Thursday last week.
The flu-like symptoms are the latest setback in a series of health issues that the renowned golfer has suffered in the recent past.
