Masters 2016 at Augusta National to keep fans busy for whole week
The Masters Tournament 2016 at Augusta National will entertain fans for a full week. The four-day-long tournament will be preceded by events and traditions that will provoke more interest in the tournament.
The list of planned events includes a Champions Dinner, a par-3 challenge, and several media center appearances that often provide contentious drama. It is not surprising that the hype and obligations around the pre gold tournament days are quite unique to the Masters. The tournament will keep fans engaged for a full week through green jacket presentation on Sunday night.
On the first day of Masters, on Monday, several players arrived for the first time and registered. There were a few press conferences too, but the biggest names are expected to come on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Amateur Bryson DeChambeau played eleven practice rounds before the start of this week. Tiger Woods has announced that he was not physically ready to play Masters this year, but he will still fly to Augusta to participate in the pre-tournament events.
The planned par-3 event is completely unique to the Masters. A tee sheet of former winners, legends of the game, and friends of 2016 invitees will play a quick nine holes on Augusta's par-3 course that abuts the full-size layout.
Both Golf Channel and CBS Sports Network will provide live coverage of the events from the grounds all through the week.
