Three people were detained on Monday after a shooting in the drive-thru of a Northeast Portland McDonald’s restaurant left two people wounded, police confirmed.

Sgt. Greg Stewart, a spokesperson for the Portland Police Department, said that officers responded to the area of Northeast 108th Avenue and Weidler Street at around 5:20 p.m. Gang Enforcement Team members also arrived to investigate the shooting.

The officers saw two people with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. They were reportedly shot in a car that was in the drive-thru lane of the restaurant at 1525 N.E. 103rd Avenue.

The victims were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. No information was immediately made public about their conditions.

The people were detained in connection with the shooting. One of the three suspects was taken into custody near Southeast 103rd Avenue and Ankeny Street.

Three MAX lines between the Gateway Transit Center and Lloyd Center were delayed due to the incident for many hours. The shooting is still under investigation.
