Google Fiber to Launch New Product Range for Small Businesses
City manager at Google Fiber for Charlotte, Mary Ellen Player, revealed that the company is launching an array of high-speed products, particularly for small business owners, as Google Fiber announces the availability of the service in Charlotte. The highly projected proclamation was made on July 12, 2016 at the new location of the company, close to the 7th Street Public Market uptown.
The representatives of the California-based company disclosed that customers residing in the Highland Creek area will now be allowed to sign up for Google Fiber. Currently, Mill Pond Apartments and Reserve at Stone Hollow are the two complexes that have been completed by the company.
A deadline of September 1, 2016 has been given by the company for residents to sign up. Google fiber will announce signing up for the residents of Prosperity Village this year itself. Across the city, service sign-ups will be undertaken on the basis of neighborhood-by-neighborhood. It is tough to assign a specific time period that will be required by the company to make the service accessible to the entire city of Charlotte.
Ultimately, the high-speed service will be offered to everyone in the Charlotte city limits. Google Fiber claims its service to be 100 times faster as compared to usual broadband services. The project initiated in early 2015 and resulted in intensifying competition within high-speed service segment.
