Thanksgiving Celebrations at ISS

Thanksgiving is a time of thankfulness and gathering and astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) celebrated the occasion but in their own unique way. Although the astronauts didn’t celebrate Thanksgiving on earth, in space it was a lot like holiday on earth.

NASA astronauts Scott Kelly and Kjell Lindgren celebrated Thanksgiving on November 26 by taking out some time out from their busy schedule to spend their day watching football. The astronauts also enjoyed a turkey-centric feast at the space station, the agency officials said.

ISS astronauts were performing the task as a part of an ongoing reconfiguration intended to pave the way for arrival of future US commercial crew spacecraft.

SpaceX releases Footage of failed Attempt to land first stage of its Rocket

On Tuesday, SpaceX successfully launched its Dragon cargo capsule to the International Space Station (ISS). Adding to that, the company tried to bring back part of its rocket. As per the plan of SpaceX engineers, the rocket had to land on a sea platform, but it was a failed attempt.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said, “The rocket landed on the ship, the impact was too hard to maintain the integrity of the first stage of the rocket”.
