Exoplanet found about 500 light years away

Researchers at California Institute of Technology have detected an exoplanets that is a size of Neptune orbiting a young star about 500 light years away. The planet is dubbed as K2-33b, which is the youngest fully-developed exoplanet discovered so far. A paper published Monday in the journal Nature reported the discovery.

Why Juno Probe’s Encounter with Jupiter is Significant

NASA is all set to explore gas giant Jupiter as its Juno probe is reaching the planet on July 4. Recently, the space agency revealed that the spacecraft is 8.6 million miles from the fifth planet from the sun. Once Juno reaches Jupiter, it will explore how the planet was formed and how it changed with time.

Jupiter is known for its harsh radiation environment. When the NASA probe will be near the environment, it main engine will be switched on to slow down the craft by about 1,200 mph so that it could enter an orbit around the planet.

Will Agreement with UAE Space Agency Help NASA in making Manned Mars Mission by 2030 a Reality

An agreement has been signed between the United States and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that enables the two nations to share aeronautics research and instruments for space exploration. The deal will also help the US space agency, NASA, in its manned Mars mission by 2030s.

With the agreement, NASA’s Mars mission is back on the track. Earlier, there were reports that the Congress asked the space agency to drop its plan on the Red Planet and focus on a moon mission, but the new deal showed that Mars mission is still a priority for the US.
