An Indiana University study asserted that a quarter of people receiving sexually explicit text messages fail to keep them secret. Research scientist Justin Garcia at the Kinsey Institute led the study that used data from 5,000 people ages 20 to 70 that were part of an annual survey sponsored by Match.com.

Five Sexual Assaults across Two College Campuses jolt Indiana

This week, at least five sexual misconduct cases were reported on two college campuses in Indiana. Women rights advocates have asked victims to come forward to seek help. Victims of the sexual assaults shouldn’t be afraid to seek help, said the advocates.

The most recent case of sexual misconduct was reported on this Friday, and belongs to the Purdue University, said local police staff in a statement. At least three more such cases have been reported on the college campus this week, but they occurred during last fall, as per the police records.

The Right to Farm Act provides protection to massive, factory style farms. But due to it, quality of life of people living nearby these farms gets difficult. Therefore, an environmental group is now going to challenge the law on behalf of two rural families.

Hoosier Environmental Council attorney Kim Ferraro shared that the lawsuit has been mailed to Hendricks County Superior Court. As per the lawsuit, a Danville farm called 4/9 Livestock LLC having up to 8,000 hogs has made the homes of plaintiffs unlivable. The farm has opened in 2013 and since then the problem is going on.

Semi-Trailer Carrying About 2,200 Baby Pigs Overturned

Thousands of baby pigs gathered on a highway in the southwest Ohio community after a semi-trailer carrying them crashed.

WXIX reported that the accident took place at 7 p.m. local time on Monday on State Route 35, east of Dayton.

The station reported that two people were inside the truck at the time of the crash and were later taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

It was told that several police and fire officials from nearby areas were trying hard to collect the piglets that scattered into a wooded area by the site of the road.

HIV Cases increased to 142 in Rural Part of Southeastern Indiana

A rural part of southeastern Indiana has seen a rise in its total for the number of confirmed and presumed HIV cases stemming from abuse of intravenous prescription drugs to 142. A state health official said on Friday that more cases are being identified every day.

Confirmed and preliminary positive cases accounted for 106 two weeks ago, but the numbers have now increased to 142.
