Facebook Messenger Supports End-to-end Encryption and Self Destructing Messages

Facebook has added end-to-end encryption on its popular messaging app Facebook Messenger. Facebook Messenger has added the security feature as users will not be able to have encrypted chats and also some other exciting options. Facebook has also added self destructing messaging capability to its messenger, one of the main offerings of popular messaging service SnapChat. Facebook has termed the feature as ‘secret conversations’ and these will be only visible to the sender and receiver.

Brazil orders 72 hours ban on WhatsApp in drug investigation case

A local court in Brazilian state of Sergipe has ordered the telecom operators in the country to block WhatsApp for 72 hours. The court had earlier ordered WhatsApp to provide chat records in an ongoing drug investigation case. But, WhatsApp informed the court that the platform can’t access chats in unencrypted form. WhatsApp recently started offering end-to-end encryption for chats and messages shared on its network.
