The research was published in the journal Nature Communications on July 12, 2016. A live streaming video from the International Space Station (ISS) on July 9 has captured an unexplained object coming from space and moving towards earth. But then all of sudden the video feed was cut and its being said that NASA has cut the video feed.

After the video was being cut, the message started to appear on the screen that a temporary technical glitch has taken place. This is not the first time when people have watched NASA’s space station live feed and claimed of seeing strange objects nearby.

Recently, two litters of mountain lion kittens have been found by National Park Service researchers in the eastern Santa Susana Mountains. As a whole, five cubs, including three females and two males, were ear-tagged and have been sent to their respective dens previously this month.

The Santa Susanas is a huge mountain range, providing a vital habitat link between the Santa Monica Mountains to the south and Los Padres National Forest to the north.

Researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology discovered that a flat footed robot could be made to walk like human, but for mimicking human movement, improvements are required in existing robotic technology. They have created a robot, called DURUS, which can walk and wear shoes like humans do.

Robot makers have so far created robots that could do simple and repetitive tasks, but now, robotics is moving toward creation of more useful robots that could interact with humans and do certain complex tasks, such as housekeeping.

Record Numbers of Turtle Nests Reported in South Carolina and Florida

Southeast is having a very good season of loggerhead sea turtle nesting. Record number of turtle nests has been seen in regions along coasts of Florida and South Carolina. The numbers also suggest that oceanic turtle will have a good season this year.

A report has been released by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources which shows that South Carolina alone has more than 4,900 nests. These are just preliminary figures and the count may increase in coming days, as per the report.
