How Juno Probe sees Jupiter? NASA Releases First In-orbit View

NASA’s Juno spacecraft, which has started orbiting Jupiter, has beamed back first image of the most massive planet in the solar system. The Jovian orbiter captured the image on July 10 using its JunoCam camera.

The image taken shows Great Red Spot and three moons- Io, Europa and Ganymede- of Jupiter. Other atmosphere features are also visible in the picture. NASA released the image on Tuesday for space enthusiasts. It also revealed that the probe will capture the first high-resolution picture of the planet after a few weeks from now.

In fact, for the past three centuries, intrepid explorers have been collecting data and recording information regarding the different tree species in the Amazon.

A latest study conducted by scientists from the Field Museum of Natural History suggested that the total Amazonian tree species tally is at 11,676 so far.

Manatees have started dying once again in Florida. State officials said that between 2012 and 2015, about 158 manatees died in the state’s Indian River Lagoon, once called the America’s most diverse ecosystem. Along with them, pelicans and dolphins also lost their lives by the score in the contaminated lagoon.

Next week, the International Space Station (ISS) is getting an essential part of cargo: a new International Docking Adapter, or IDA, enabling future crewed spacecraft to dock with the station automatically.

The installation of the huge metallic ring, measuring 63 inches in diameter, will ultimately be done on the Harmony module. This is the second ever IDA going into space, though the first one never in really made it to orbit as it got vanished when the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying it to the station disintegrated at the time of launch in June last year.
