Here’s What Hubble Telescope sees at the Core of Crab Nebula

The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) of NASA is in operation since last more than two decades. The telescope, launched in 1990, has revealed several cosmic secrets. Now, it is again in news for capturing a stunning picture of Crab Nebula. The image shows dynamic processes in the center of nebula in the constellation of Taurus.

Saturn’s largest moon Titan could Support Alien Life; Here’s How

Saturn’s largest moon Titan could Support Alien Life; Here’s How

Our solar system’s gas giants like Saturn and Jupiter are not capable of supporting life, but their moons may have the potential to harbor alien life. A new study on Saturn’s largest moon Titan suggested that chemical trail on it hints the moon could be bearer of life.

Study researchers analyzed data collected by Huygens and Cassini spacecraft of NASA and found chemical trail, which suggests Titan may support life. They said the data shows that prebiotic conditions exist on the moon.

Lost JAXA X-ray Satellite beams back Data on Perseus Galaxy Cluster

Earlier, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) reported that its X-ray satellite Hitomi is no more in touch with mission controllers. The agency, that time, also revealed that it has succeeded in scraping some data collected by the satellite. It managed to explore the Perseus Cluster, a cluster of galaxies with a supermassive black hole at the center. Findings by Hitomi allowed researchers understand the role of a black hole in the formation of a galaxy.

China completes world’s largest radio telescope

On Sunday, China completed the world’s largest radio telescope, which may answer one of the mankind’s oldest questions regarding the cosmos that is there other life out there? According to China’s state-run Xinhua News Agency, the Aperture Spherical Telescope, or FAST, of China may detect alien life while looking out for odd objects like neutral hydrogen, faint pulsars, and low frequency gravitational waves.

China is hopeful that the telescope will become operational by September. It will probably be open to the worldwide scientific community in around three years.

RemoveDebris schedules space junk removal demonstrator’s launch for early 2017

The Surrey Space Centre led RemoveDebris will send a debris removal demonstrator in early next year. Space debris could cause harm to satellites sent from earth with a purpose. The mission will test potential of low-cost technologies to remove space junk.

NASA extends New Horizons mission

NASA extends New Horizons mission

NASA has officially announced the extension of the New Horizons mission. Last year, the spacecraft served its actual purpose wonderfully at the time of historic flyby of the Pluto system. For months, it has been hurtling in the direction of parts-less-known.

Last year in October, scientists made New Horizons fire its thrusters so that it can change its position course in the direction of an object called 2014 MU69. Now, because of the funding approval, the team is well aware that it will be there to go through the data when New Horizons reaches that fresh target in 2019.

Juno Mission to Jupiter: Probe captures video of Galilean Moons circling Giant Planet

Several hidden secrets of Jupiter are going to be unveiled soon as NASA’s Juno probe has reached the most massive planet of the solar system. The spacecraft has already captured an amazing video of four largest moons of Jupiter—Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. These moons are also known as Galilean moons.
