Auburn planning to play without Carl Lawson

Auburn defensive end Carl Lawson's rehab is going very well but his return to the field for the 2014 season is still uncertain, the team's head coach Gus Malzahn indicated.

Lawson underwent an ACL surgery on May 1, 2014; and it normally takes six to nine months to fully recover. It means he should not be expected to return to the field before November 1 game, in which Auburn's team will take on Ole Miss.

Malzahn recently hinted that Lawson could miss the 2014 season, and that Auburn was planning to play without Lawson.
